THE FIELDHOUSE
THE NEW FIELDHOUSE COMPLEX WILL HONOR A MEMBER OF OUR COMMUNITY THAT DEDICATED HIS LIFE TO HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE AND WILL BENEFIT STUDENTS OF ALL AGES IN THE MECHANICSBURG AREA FOR DECADES.
Over the past several years, significant facility improvements have been made to the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park, including: the installation of a state-of–the-art turf athletic field and new aluminum stadium spectator seating. These improvements have shed light on the need to modernize the current fieldhouse, originally constructed in the 1940’s. The Rich Lichtel Fund has partnered with the Wildcat Foundation as well as the Mechanicsburg Area School District and the Borough of Mechanicsburg to privately fund the construction of a new fieldhouse complex.
The completion and improvements of the fieldhouse are currently under way and almost complete. We need $250,000 to finish the project as it was originally planned. Please consider a generous donation that will have an impact for decades.
